Healthy Baseball/Tee Ball Snack Duty Idea
Our Pancake Breakfast is tomorrow! So basically, our next few months plans are about to be dominated with "Sorry, we've got tee ball!"
If that sounds familiar and you too are preparing for last minute dinners, cold practices and breaking out the stain removers for your laundry room, you are probably going to be on snack duty at some point in the upcoming weeks and I thought I would share my tried and true healthy snack bags. First and foremost, I am a one trick pony! Once I find something that works, I am not afraid to make my life easy and repeat it as much as I can!

This will be my 3rd season with these same bags in some variation! I am definitely not a snack prude and my kids enjoy some good ol sugar treats just plenty but if I can help it I never intentionally buy anything that's sole purpose is make my kids bounce off the walls or around my car! So with that, I thought I would share my go to snack bag for teeball/baseball season!

I think snack bags start getting real intimidating because they can add up so quickly. Part of that comes from the fact that so many snack type items come in quantities of 6 or 8.....okay well Karen, there are 9 on a baseball team so who was the brilliant person that came up with 6 and 8 packs of snacks and juices?! Instantly my mind goes to how am I going to make these healthy and have to buy two of everything, forget it - $1.49 blueberry sugar crush fruit roll ups for everyone! BUT with some advanced planning I've got it down and this year my snack bags will come in at nearly half of what I spent running around last minute last season!

What's in the bag?
Baseball Sacks $2.99 - Party City
Baseball Whitsles $5.99 - Party City
Pirates Booty Popcorn 12ct. $5.39 - Target
2LB Simply Balanced Organic Gala Apples $3.79 -Target
Frigo String Cheese 12ct.  $1.99 - Target
Honest Kids Organic Juice boxes 10ct. $3.69 - Target

If ya gotta buy bags anyways, might as well be some cute ones! I found these at Party City a couple years ago and I just keep on grabbing them! They're clear enough that you can see whats inside and they open so wide making them awesome sauce for stuffing even bulky treats! In place of a sweet treat, I like to toss in a party favor like these baseball whistles! Party City carries a pretty wide selection but you can purchase the bags and plenty of other favors on Amazon as well. In the past I've gone for cuties like many moms do but honestly, they're pricey upfront and they almost never get peeled in the car so I opted for apples above. These bags come in at $2.10 a piece total stuffed! I can work with that for 9 fun, adorable and more nutritious snack bags! Snack Duty, check! Consider heading to The Dollar Tree to find some fun fillers instead of the whistles to bring the price down even more! Hope this helps you feel more confident shopping for healthy snack bag options this season so you can sit back and get your cheer on like Miss Mia!
